I grew up in Preairieville Louisiana. Back in the early 90s, kid's spent most of their days outside, and I was no different. I grew up playing baseball, basketball, soccer, football, swimming, and throwing javelin for track and field. However, there was one sport that I played in the fall of 2004 that I will now always remember.
I was 19, and my dad took me to Highland Road Park to play a sport called disc golf. I immediately took to it, having mild success throwing a disc as hard as I could (without aim or purpose) just to watch it fly straight up and fall like a rock from the sky.
I played 5-6 rounds, but then like college kids do, I got bored and moved on. Fast forward to December 2022. I make a decision to change careers. To leave a field I had been in for 18yrs and "start over." I went from traveling 3 weeks out of the month for work to working from home. I needed a hobby and Disc Golf filled that void. I lived within walking distance of a course and decided to buy a few discs.
I've been hooked ever since. I absolutely adore this sport because to become good, you must learn yourself. You have to be mentally strong. You get opportunities to face something difficult, see a shot in your mind, and believe you can do it, and then "BANG," you blow up the chains. Playing disc golf makes me feel like a kid again. Disc golf is something that challenges me to be better. It's a beautiful game.

Daniel has been playing disc golf recreationally for years, and he loves almost every aspect of it. His passion for the sport is clear to anyone who watches him play because no one would put themselves through such agonizing torture unless they were so blissfully devoted.
Outside of disc golf, Daniel enjoys exploring nature, photography, self-loathing, and most dairy products.
And He chose to leave us with an amazing Dad Joke:
Why did the disc golfer bring a ladder to the course?
- To take their game to a "higher level!!"
Wes has been playing disc golf since late 2021. He has a unorthodox throwing method that freaks some people out, but works for him.
When not out on the course with his Tater Bros, he spends his time playing with lava at Wimberly Glassworks. He also enjoys making cool things out of wood.
His most revered acomplishment in disc golf is earning the nickname "Master Aborist" for being able to hit the most trees in a round.
Karim doesn't play a ton of tournaments, but he's the best guy to have on your card for practice rounds. He's always happy to keep score and he keeps the round rocking with his kick ass music selection.
His favorite advice to give: "So you take out your Explorer and..."
